From Psoriasis to Purpose — and a Legacy of Love

Hi, I’m Nez — founder of NEZ Skincare, mother of three, and a woman on a mission to turn healing into legacy.

I was born in Macedonia into a family full of strength, spirit, and cultural richness. My father was Turkish, my mother is Serbian, and my siblings are Albanian. I lost my father when I was just six years old, and after that, my mum raised us on her own. Skincare and medicine were luxuries we couldn’t afford — so she turned to what had been passed down through generations.

Her grandfather — my great-grandfather — was the naturopathic doctor of their town. People came to him for healing, and he used only the earth’s medicine: herbs, roots, oils, and teas. That legacy of natural healing flowed through my mother’s hands. She brewed dandelion tea for liver support, rose petals for beauty tonics, and made her own skincare — including tallow creams and even a bone marrow face balm. In her world, plants were powerful, and healing came from nature.

That deep respect for natural medicine is in my blood. I didn’t know it then, but it would become the heart of my purpose.

The Turning Point

I never had a skincare routine growing up — it just wasn’t part of our world. But at 35, my skin changed almost overnight. I developed facial psoriasis: red, itchy, peeling skin that no makeup could cover. I was working in real estate at the time, always in front of the camera, and the experience shattered my confidence.

Then one day at a market in Cairns, I found a handmade hemp oil. I tried it — and it worked. My skin calmed down, softened, and finally felt like mine again. But when I went back to find that stall… they were gone.

That moment changed everything. I became determined to recreate that healing — not just for me, but for others. After months of research and formulation, I partnered with a lab in Melbourne, and Miracle Glow Oil was born — the first product in what would become NEZ Skincare.

My Why

This brand isn’t just about skincare. It’s about resilience. It’s about legacy. And most of all, it’s about love.

I became a single mum when my son was just 10. One day, in a moment I’ll never forget, he looked at me and said:

“Mum, I’ve always looked up to you. I’ve always wanted to be just like you when I grow up. You do everything. You achieve everything. You’re so strong — nothing can stop you or put you down. You’re my superhero.”

That moment became my fuel. I knew I had to rise — not just for myself, but for my kids. I want to show them that even when life gets hard, we don’t give up. We build. We glow. We leave something behind.

NEZ is my legacy. A tribute to my heritage. A gift to my children. And a vessel for every person who’s ever needed to feel seen, empowered, and beautiful in their own skin.
